Hi, I'm Kailey!

Motherhood came first. Photography followed, because I couldn't stand the thought of losing this season to memory alone.

Parenthood is filled with irreplaceable moments that can slip away with time. I’m here to help you capture and keep them vivid.

Motherhood

It started with one photograph. My baby, half-asleep on my chest, golden light pouring through the window behind us. I remember thinking: I need to remember exactly this. Not a posed version of it, not a filtered version. This.

It also started with a cancellation. I had a Fresh 48 session scheduled, someone booked to capture my baby's very first hours, and they cancelled on me. By the time I was discharged, that window was gone. Not delayed. Gone. I will never get those specific hours back, no matter how badly I want them. That loss is what put everything into perspective for me: how fleeting this all is, and how unforgiving the timeline can be once you leave the hospital doors.

That feeling never left. What began as me chasing light around my own living room, camera in hand, baby on hip, became something I couldn't put down. Eventually, something I turned into a business, because I wasn't the only mother who wanted this season held onto in its true form, and because I never wanted another mother to feel what I felt when that window closed on me.

Photography

I'm not interested in the version of your family that shows up for a camera. I want the version that shows up when no one's watching, the real dynamic, the actual you. That's what golden hour and a relaxed, unposed approach are built to capture.

Today, I photograph mothers the way I wished someone had photographed me: golden, honest, and without a shred of effort required on your part. You show up as you are, in the home you already have, or the hospital room you're still adjusting to. I take care of everything else, down to the smallest detail, including showing up when I say I will.

For clients who want the full experience, hair and makeup is available as an add-on, so you arrive polished, present, and ready to simply be photographed rather than perform for a camera.

Candid, + always authentic with intention

a little honesty

Here's something I don't say often enough: I understand what it feels like to dread being photographed. The self-consciousness. The mental math of "do I look okay." I've stood in front of a lens feeling exactly that.

What I've learned, and what I promise you, is this: no one has ever looked back at a photograph and thought about your stomach, your outfit, or your tired eyes. They remember that you were there. Golden light on your skin, your baby in your arms, fully present. That's the photograph that matters.

If you've been waiting to feel ready before booking, let this be your sign. You're ready. I'll handle the rest.
